QLA cadets visited Qatar National Library
Qatar Leadership Academy organised a field trip to Qatar National Library for the Grade 11 cadets attending the 20th Century World History and Global Issues courses.
The trip provided an excellent opportunity for the cadets to extend their learning in a highly stimulating environment, taking advantage of the latest technology, the vast resources and state-of-the-art facilities of the newly opened Qatar National Library. Our purpose was to familiarise cadets with using the library resources and to teach them how to carry out independent research about the topics they have been studying.
Upon arrival, the cadets were given an introduction about the library’s layout and its special architectural features. This was followed by a tour of the various library facilities including the main reading hall boasting of over 1 million hard copy publications, the 3D design studio, the music and video recording studios, the study rooms and the computer room.
