Academic
Heritage Training
The Qatar Leadership Academy revolves around instilling all that is required for developing the skills and knowledge to establish future young leaders.
The key aspect of the Academy is the Heritage Program, developed to ensure that all Cadets are exposed to the history of the country as well as the skills of traditional activities practiced in Qatar.
These skills are unique to the culture of Qatar, and as a father would pass them down normally to his sons, so does our expert team teach and develop those essential skills within our Cadets from the daily (such as the Majlis protocol and culture) to the specialized (such as falconry, fishing, and equestrian skills).
Our Heritage Program commences from the beginning of the academic year, and develops with the Cadets skills to the end of the year. The Program includes developing Majlis skills of the Cadets, as well as learning the required protocol and manners required within the Gulf culture, becoming part of the Majlis scene and understanding its importance in instilling responsibility within the Cadets and treating them as the young men that they are and our future leaders that they will be.
The Academy addresses various aspects of heritage and cultural activities that are practiced during the year. These activities form part of the internal structure & Qatari society and include falconry, fishing, equestrian, camel and arts and crafts. The Program also hosts experts in the field of heritage and invites specialists/leaders within the Qatari community for open seminars with the Cadets discussing pertinent issues such as the history of Qatar and the cultural lifestyle of the past, so as to develop the awareness and knowledge of the Cadets of their forefathers and their culture and how it should be preserved today in their daily practices and instilled in their moral character.
This and much more, forms the core of the Qatar Leadership Academy experience, teaching our Cadets not only academics but the essence of our traditional and cultural society; making them well rounded and knowledgably leaders of tomorrow.
