Credits and Graduation Requirements
Credits are units that determine grade placement and academic progress. QLA requires a total of 24 credits to graduate. Students have the opportunity to earn between 6 to 7 credits per year. Grade Level Placement The following number of credits will be used to determine a student’s grade placement.
Freshman (Grade 9) 1-4 Credits
Sophomore (Grade 10) 5-11 Credit
Junior (Grade 11) 12-18 Credits
Senior (Grade 12) 19-25

Students must earn 24 units of credit in Grades 9 through 12 to qualify for an QLA Diploma. There are no exemptions to these requirements.
